Refund Policy

The conditions for requesting and processing a SwitchPilot Pro subscription refund.

30-day refund period

First payment only

Customers may request a full refund within 30 days of the initial purchase of a new SwitchPilot Pro subscription.

This 30-day refund period applies only to the first payment for a new subscription. It does not restart with each renewal, reactivation, plan continuation or recurring monthly payment.

How to request a refund

To request a refund, contact support@switchpilot.dev.

Please include:

  • the email address associated with the SwitchPilot account;
  • sufficient information to identify the transaction;
  • a short explanation of the request.

Do not send full payment-card details, CVV codes, passwords, API keys, authentication or session tokens, webhook secrets, or other sensitive information. We aim to review refund requests within 5 business days.

Processing by Paddle

Paddle acts as SwitchPilot's Merchant of Record and processes payments, applicable taxes, invoices, subscriptions and approved refunds. SwitchPilot does not directly process payment cards.

Approved refunds are processed by Paddle and are normally returned to the original payment method where possible. The time required for a refund to appear may depend on Paddle, the payment method, the card issuer or the customer's financial institution. Refunds are not promised to be instant.

Renewals and recurring payments

The 30-day refund period does not restart for subscription renewals. Recurring subscription payments are generally non-refundable once the initial 30-day period has expired, except where required by law or where an exception described in this policy applies.

Subscription cancellation

Canceling a subscription prevents future renewals once the cancellation becomes effective. Cancellation does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.

When cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current period, access to SwitchPilot Pro normally remains available until the end of the paid subscription period. No automatic prorated refund is provided for unused time in the current billing period unless required by applicable law or expressly approved.

Exceptions

A refund may still be considered after the initial 30-day period in situations such as:

  • duplicate charges;
  • clear billing errors;
  • unauthorized or fraudulent transactions;
  • a significant technical issue attributable to SwitchPilot that prevented meaningful use of the paid service;
  • a payment collected after a cancellation should already have taken effect;
  • another exceptional circumstance accepted by SwitchPilot or Paddle, including an exceptional commercial gesture;
  • any situation where a refund is required by applicable law.

The existence of a technical issue does not automatically guarantee a refund. Requests may be reviewed based on severity, duration, available workarounds and the circumstances of the account.

Abuse of the refund policy

SwitchPilot may refuse refund requests that appear abusive, fraudulent, repetitive or intended to obtain continued use of paid features without payment, except where a refund is legally required. This section does not limit mandatory consumer rights.

Account access after refund

When a full refund is issued:

  • the subscription may be canceled or terminated;
  • the account may return to the FREE plan;
  • access to PRO features may end;
  • projects or features exceeding FREE limits may become restricted according to the product rules described in the Sales Terms.

Mandatory legal rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any mandatory consumer protection, withdrawal, cancellation or refund rights that apply under applicable law. Where mandatory law provides stronger rights, those rights prevail.
